The Klamath Dental Society (KDS) serves as an official component society of the Oregon Dental Association (ODA) and the American Dental Association (ADA), uniting general dentists, dental specialists, and clinical care teams throughout Klamath Falls, Lakeview, and the surrounding Southern Oregon communities under shared standards of clinical mastery, patient advocacy, and professional ethics. Under the leadership of Dr. Theresa K. Tucker, KDS provides the local organizational infrastructure that protects private practice autonomy while keeping regional clinicians connected to statewide legislative movements and national clinical advancements, bridging independent private practices, community health centers, regional healthcare networks, and public health initiatives across Klamath and Lake counties.
Localized Continuing Education & Clinical Excellence
We design and execute accredited CE symposia, clinical dinner meetings, and technical workshops held directly in Klamath Falls, enabling member dentists and clinical staff to fulfill Oregon Board of Dentistry licensing requirements locally without extensive travel to Portland or Eugene.
Scope-of-Practice & Legislative Advocacy
In direct coordination with the ODA Board of Trustees and House of Delegates, KDS serves as the collective voice for Southern Oregon practitioners before state legislative committees and regulatory bodies, championing policies that protect private practice ownership and safeguard ethical standards.
Peer Collaboration & Multi-Specialty Networks
Active study clubs, clinical roundtables, and regional networking meetings foster strong professional relationships between general practitioners and specialists, facilitating multi-specialty case collaboration and elevated referral continuity across the Klamath Basin.
Community Outreach & Public Health Leadership
Beyond clinic walls, KDS members support localized public health campaigns, school-based oral hygiene education, oral cancer screenings, and regional Give Kids A Smile initiatives across Southern Oregon.
